Most People Don't Want The Truth. They Want Constant Reassurance That What They Believe Is The Truth.
I do not know who the originator of this quote is, but I've seen it around a lot. I do not know what the intent of this quote is either so I will take it at face value -- and that in itself is a powerful statement. And in my experience as an intuitive life coach, it is true.
Often times people come to me with their issues, problems, blocks and so on, and I would presume that they have come to me, because they are aware that I see things they cannot see, not just on the spiritual/energy levels, but also on the mental and emotional levels.
Yet, time and time again, they come fearing the truth, or remain in denial and not listening to what is being said to them. It is powerful how our minds refuse to be open even when we have an inner desire to grow. We want to preserve what we are comfortable with.
The reality is, life can be hard, and the truth is too often very very hard to swallow.
When I do my inner work, i.e. my mental and psychological work, I use this time to seek out areas in myself I have avoided or made me cringe, or made me want to run away from. It is tough because I have to admit to myself my own weaknesses, my own insecurities, my own blindness, mistakes and so on. So I know what my clients want to do when I present what is difficult to listen to, in front of them.
Yes, the work is hard to swallow but I can assure you, the level of freedom it gives me whenever you face your own inner demons, is priceless. The mental and emotional freedom gives me less and less to hide from, gives me the freedom to express myself because I took no bullshit from myself. I am able and free to say what is true to others because I have done it to myself.
When you face this level of freedom within yourself and in front of others, your self-confidence is unmatched. I am known for my confidence and I do not say this to brag, I say it as a testimony that truth, when faced courageously, gives one the sense of freedom that brings confidence, esteem and conviction to self-belief.
This year 2020 is the year where energetically, you will be forced to confront truths. If you have not read my sharing on the energies of 2020 and what each month brings to you, please go to this LINK
Things in which you have been trying to hide from or hide from others will surface, mostly for you to confront and deal with. And there will be situations/circumstances in your life where you are not prepared to face because you do not wish to see the truth behind it all. As we enter into 2020, what is of utmost importance is to be prepared mentally and emotionally for all of these. This year brings such new and challenging experiences for learning you may never have experienced before.
The biggest challenge we will all face is ourselves, where all our strengths are forced to re-surface (if we have suppressed them), or surface and all our the aspects of self we are trying to run away from will face us squarely. Yes, the truth is hard, but one thing about truths is that it can never remain in darkness for long. It is only a matter of time before it comes up to the light, and it seems 2020 is the time of the light.
Hang on to your seatbelts my friends.
